graphite on paper, digital shadingtools used: mechanical pencil + click eraser + adobe photoshop + wacom intuos tablet
This was drawn with a mechanical pencil with normal lead, with the word bubbles and lettering being inked with a micron pen. The grey coloring was added in Adobe Photoshop.

Aw, reminds me of my cat who passed away about a year ago. He was just like that, and it made me so sad when he couldn't jump up on my bed anymore.

Aww... this reminds me so much of my cat, Lempi... he passed away pretty recently, at age of 21, but still, even in his last days, he hopped next to us on the sofa, even though he was so very clumsy by then.
I miss him so awfully much, he'd been with me since I was just a baby...
But uh huh, despite that, I like the style in this comic!

Some cats age pretty well- My aunt has a 20 year old cat that can still jump up on the counter in the kitchen.
I have known Mr. M since I was 6 years old, so he was like family to me.

Aww... cats are such wonderful beings! And yes.. the only bad side in having pets is that fact, that someday, one just has to let go... it's just as painful as losing a family's member.
And... yes, a nice thing in cats... they seem to live old and yet remain in so good shape!

He loved me because I would pet him for up to an hour. My nieces had two kittens to play with and they didn't pay much attention to Mr. M since he couldn't run around. So I gave him extra attention to make up for it. He was a sweet kitty in his old age. <3

I actually adore older cats. They are so calm and collected in themselves. It's very soothing to me and the joy they get from being pet and loved comes back to me tenfold in giving it to them.

Yes, I do. I got a tomcat, and he's about 10 years old and called Towney. It's because he was found in town as a stray kitten, but I tell people its because he's as big as a town (he's a pretty fat kitty). ^-^''

Our oldest cat, at 21+, cannot manage the couch ... in fact, she can just manage to totter around unsteadily ... but we do have a few 17+ that can still manage that leap! ^^ haha ... yes, what you described is all too familiar ... in our house of many ancient cats, we have boxes and wooden ramps all over so that those less agile can get up to their fave spots on the bed/couch/etc. ^^
