I thought the lighting and the perspective on this room was strangeI was walking around Lille and there was a block of offices to let
and it was so clean, untouched, empty
so I photographed it especially since the sun was casting cool shadows

Oooh... I love this shot. It captures some elements that I really like. I like shots that have repeating patterns, and I also like shots that have lots of geometry (angles, shapes, sharp lines, etc.). This shot has all that as well as great contrast.
I really like the subtle variations of light intensity on the panels on the left of the shot. The pattern seems to repeat perfectly, but the minor differences catch the eye.
I like that you can just barely see the checkered pattern on the floor.
The right wall is a huge contrast to the pattern of the left side. However, those two doors look as though the wall really wants to be like the other side... like it is attempting to throw in some shape and color as well. Had the wall been completely flat, it would have looked great... but the doors make it a little more interesting.
The shadows all look really good and seem to melt into each other all so well.

The other thing I picked up from the two contrasting walls is that the left one looks so much more larger than the one on the right but it's obvious by the ceiling that they are the same level

The the floor is subtle with the checkered pattern. It's a fairly creepy shot.
