Rosies Terrifying beast bird.

4-5 feet at hip

These large flesh eating birds were jungle hunters. Blending into the background with their plumage, they would stalk prey quietly for hours, then with a burst of power would shoot forward and lash out at the prey animal with their large razor sharp beaks. The colourful crests were used for mating rituals. During breeding season the jungle would be filled with their croaking cries. Once mated the Mother bird would sit on her eggs leaving only to chase away potential threats. The male would hunt for the both of them, returning to the nest and regurgitating some of the meat for the mother. On hatching, the parents would part ways. Leaving the chicks to fend for themselves. The birds died out during the ice age as food became harder to find and their fast metabolisms couldn't cope with the cold.
