Hillo, guys!

I'm in full-on drawing mood right now, don't even want to do the stuff I actually need to do. But that can wait, I might not want to draw this bad in the future.

I started with Splash Warfly, so I decided to draw all 8 Irregulars from the Red Alert. This is actually my first drawing of this year too!

Like always, it all starts with the first try which is not that successful (as you can see by looking at Stonekong's helmet... which is not finished XD). Then I start to experiment by giving this design my own favour while drawing the his face from the front.

I gave him some scratches on the horns of the helmet as well as some wrinkles here and there to show that he's one of the older and wiser members of Red Alert. Also I changed a shape of the... eyeline around his eyes a little bit. Then I decided to do the front again because I didn't like how the helmet looked like... and I failed, so I erased everything aside from the helmet and the top of Stonekong's head XD

After that, I did that one drawing I'm really proud of - furious Soldier Stonekong. I let myself ignore the helmet in this instance so the gorilla looks expressive as heck (this is something that will continue to be the case in future expression practices if I can't bend the helmet). I just absolutely love it.

I don't remember what was next, but I think it was... helmetless Stonekong. I originally did this to show how he would look like with his eyes closed, but then I was like "man, that thing on the top of his helmet sure is a part of his head, right?"
Sorry for creating this cures image, I didn't design the character this way.

Guess the next then is angry profile of Stonekong. I don't really like this, probably because I had no idea what to do with his mouth as normal teeth looked really wierd on him... I'll hope I will not need to draw his profile ever again XD

After the eyes, I went to the bed, then when 2nd of January started, I decided to draw one more face - laughing Stonekong. It looks alright, but the mouth... I can't imagine him being as angry or as happy as I drew him, but at least those drawings taught me that he does not look right when being in the mood like this. Like really, if it looks wierd for the character you're drawing - you're probably not drawing that character anymore. Everything is possible, it's just the feeling I get myself... especially when I see laughing Zero.

Next is Debonion.
