very beautiful.. i like that there are details in the reflection that you can't see in the 'real' version. and the contrast of the clouds against the sky and silhouettes is a classic

I used to go Canoeing int the Boundary Waters. Drive to Superior, then head North!
I remember one summer in Northern Wisconsin, there was a girl of college age who used to sun herself on the dock next to ours in a red bikini. Wow!
We had an old Thompson wood boat with a Evinrude 35 hp about twice the size of a modern 250 hp outboard. We could ski behind it and we had a door with a rope on it that was our "wave board."
The girl in the red bikini got a brand new ski boat with a 455 cu in motor, and no one to drive it for her. My dad was a bit curious why all of a sudden I wanted to take the Coast Guard {maybe it was the Wisconsin WNR} course (required to drive if under 16). When I passed, he figured out why, and never said a word.
My brother was a bit older, and got the best birthday present any of us could imagine at the time, his own marina gas credit card for the summer. I think my dad was a bit surprized when he got a $600 bill, but again he just smiled.

Great story. I have to think, "A Pond Reflection", had something to do with you reflecting on to a past memmory.
