Description
Myelin is the fat that lines the cells of your nervous system. You need it, as it acts as an insulator, just like on electrical wires.
Without it, you loose control of your body and die. Horribly.
Fuzzy here, a rather vicous version of the common Streptococcus Pyogenes, greatly enjoys eating myelin. She moves slowly and mythodically, reproducing as she goes, about three cycles per hour. Within fifteen hours of infection, 70% of individuals have lost total control of all bodilly fuctions, and within twenty hours 90% of infected individuals sucumb to the effects of the bacteria and die, none last past 24 hours.
Good thing it's fictional...right?

The idea is interesting, but nevertheless.... ok with anthropomorfic microorganism, I used to draw them too, but... the difference between the human part and the microorganism part is too striking, so it ends up looking like an human being with funny legs.

Yeah, well I'm not aiming for realism, I mean, i find my anthros much more attractive than an actual ameboa, and they can express emotions and such much more effectively this way.

Heheh, funny name. Shame though, it looks so cute cuddly. But yet it's deadly. Yet interesting at the exact same time!

If you were friends with her, you wouldn't have to worry about her eating your myelin. She might even share some with you!

Lol, it's purely fictional!
Although, on House the other day, they did encounter a bacteria that works very similarly to this one...

Yeah, but it wouldn't have been a groovy brainkiller.
Besides, I'm pretty sure I wont have to worry, no cable TV. B)

You think penecillin would have any effect on her?
It would probably just make her angry.

Well, now. A bacterium anthro. Finally someone's giving bacteria the credit they deserve. They have, after all, been on this earth since who knows when... And will be long after the last human has decayed, I dare say. So, a little respect, people.
Isn't she pretty! So fuzzy and cuddly and... *gets mugged*

I've always like the idea of anthropomophing something microscopic, it makes things like plaque and measles much cuter!

JazzLizard In reply to antiknuckles [2006-05-03 03:03:29 +0000 UTC]
Well, if you were microscopic too, she wouldn't try to eat your myelin, because there wouldn't be enough there to make an effort over. She might clobber you, if you tried to hug her, tho.

But i'd still huggs her!

JazzLizard In reply to antiknuckles [2006-05-03 10:43:36 +0000 UTC]
Naw, I was just saying if you got smaller, there'd be less myelin in you, and she would have less of an interest in eating it.
