Dammit, no one's talking about Knockout's personality! It's so obvious he would be caring about his scales, since he cares so much about his paint job.
I bet this would be something he would say.
"Hey, watch the scales!"

he would be absolutely obsessed with having clean, polished scales. Like I imagine he'd roll in fine sand or something to buff them.. XD

Hate to think what certain other characters would be like as dragons. Grimlock is already a TRex, who would have the bright idea of making the greatest land predator of all time into a motherfucking dragon? Yeah, that'll work great. Really, the Dinobots in general would be annoyingly strong, moreso than they already are.
Soundwave is also another character that would be there, depending on the version. Like Transformers Prime for example. Another Knockout quote, "Watch out for the quiet ones". That describes Soundwave surprisingly well.
Shockwave would also be weird. Explain his one eye. That would be strange.
Unless he's a Cyclops, I honestly think he'd be better off with two, for the sole purpose of having probably more than 50 percent of his vision lost. At least being a Cyclops, at least with eye placement, would help him.
I'm not suggesting anything, just to clear up any confusion. I'm just rambling about stuff.
