Sometimes I do the Background Step earlier and do very lazy Shading like here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1FEJg…Someone asked for this recently so here it is
This is how I am working on Comic Pages.Katinka - The ComicKatinka is the Story I am working on since 1999. The first Comic Pages were drawn in 2005 I guess.. I canceld the Comic after the first 3 Pages and worked on the Story. In 2008 I worked on it again and harder till somewhen in 2010. I worked more on my Warriors Fake Screenshots then. Since 2011 I created (and getting) more and more Characters. Since February 2011 till today, I am writing on the Story again and again. The Comic will be continued when ever I feel like it :3

Omg this is so helpful to beginners! I actually learned the put the text below the bubble thing from someone a while ago. But I haven't tried shading in white skin layer. Might try it.

Du kannst auch einfach nen leeren Layer unter die Lines legen und auf dem ausmalen, aber ich hab das damals so gelernt und daher mach ich das oft so xD Zumindest bei Comic Seiten.

Pffft too much work xD I know you do it your way and I do it my way, our discussion will never end xD but it's absolutely waste of time and effort. If you have lines and just use bucket tool to fill in a simple no name background colour all the spaces where the background should be, and then using schnittmasken (sorry forgot english word in photoshop xD) to copy and paste existing background or do backgrounds (and then you can draw like you want and will never draw over your characters) and then you can easily later paint the characters without masking something or select something and you will never draw over the background....
I just find it shocking that nearly ALL great artists I know draw exactly like your steps and I never get why, they are so slowwww and have often so many white pixels or problems with the lines and stuff...

I do everything except step 7 & 8. That is a very helpful trick... Looking forward to giving that a try.

Pages need different Times. This one was just an Hour or a bit more. But the more Characters are shown the more it takes owo
