The gen 4 remakes are just around the corner. I'm not really hyped. I hope that will change for "legends areceus". I never started with piplup so I decided to choose this one this time. Will call it Triton, obviously because of its stage 2 evolution.
My character's Triton won't evolve tho, as I am not a big fan of piplup's evo line.

Will also try to get a female. I think I have only male piplup yet.
