Description
This is an concept HFV (Heavy Fighting Vehicle WIP) I was working on some time ago I felt it needed to be finished so I set a goal for this model:1. The HVF had to be modern / futuristic "combat" ready,
2. "V" shaped hull,
3. low profile (turret and body),
4. the chassis had to be Multi platform compatible,
5. Armour made of (MOD) homogeneous Armour "boxes", that can be used on different spots on the vehicle, (so one Armour box that can fit on multiple locations around the tank.)
6. Secondary Armour tiles also made to be fit on multiple spots, located between outer Armour boxing (5.) and tank hull,
7. Shaped vehicle surface.
8. Turn-able commanders main gun sight system, instead of it being fixed to face forward, the main sighting of the gun (located on the right side of the main gun (can't be seen on image*)
had to be slightly movable to left and right, this way it can track enemy vehicles vaster while turning to aim, and thus calculate ballistics faster thus gaining advantage over sighting capability.
9. secondary commanders sighting system located on-top of turret, in the middle (absolute center) of the turret, with full turn capability, can be used as secondary sighting system or to detect other treads while engaged in combat.
10. tertiary commanders sighting system (yes indeed, it has three sighting system two of witch can be used as auxiliary) located on the vehicle not on turret next to the driver sighting to the right, (there is protection hatch over it)
11. Heavy APS (CIWS) protection system, consisting of 44 grenade launch-pods (22 each side) on the left and right back end stowage compartments, those can fire smokes, IR blockers, Flares, and shrapnel air-burst grenades, two APS systems per side (left and right) for anti ATG, ATGM measure, fires air-burst soft explosive shrapnel explosives at incoming projectile to pre-detonate it in close proximity, on-top is an mini launch turret for anit-personal measure,
that can fire a total of seven anti personal ranged air-burs grenades in all directions, one left and one on the right side of the turret,
frontal vehicular 180.degree grenade launcher system indebted in armoring located at the front next to the driver sighting (left and right) can fire 6 grenades.
11.gun sighting camera.
12. gun straightness sensor.
13. rubberized track with large wide dimension, ideal for mud as it's a heavy vehicle, thus tracks need to be wider then average...
14. internal hydro dynamic suspension system, instead of it being o the outside its in the inside of the tank hull in a special compartmental double inner hull...
15. frontal hybrid diesel electric drive train engine, with a double transmission box (one per track) two 800 KW electric engines for silent cruising, and 1500hp diesel engine for 85kmh (+- 53mph) speed.
16. back door entrance. and seating place for 2 additional infantry crew. (4 is also possible)
17. auto loader and manually loaded gun system. (best of both) giving the trained speed of a human loader and auto loader functionality and practicality, thus the tank can be operated by one person if needed to,
it also reduces fatigue and thus maintain a steady fire rate and is ideal for heavy projectile loading.
18. radar absorbing and Infrared blocking coating, the coating also doubles as ricochet protection duo to its rubberized surface structure.
19. lots of hinges for attaching camouflage nets, doubles for easy removing the Armour boxes.
20. without all Armour modification the tank can be stored in a military transport plane,
21. shaped gun barrel for deflecting radar (PL-1 Concept)
22. anti jam GPS module, and anti jam communication antennas.
23. full 360. APS awareness system consisting of 18 cameras located around the turret for full 360 view. (not including the main commander / driver sighting modules)
24. track dust blower, at the front side, automatically removes chunks of dirt from track while driving, (just a venting system) that can be used to launch dirt screen in case of emergency, or provide a fire extinguisher effect to extinguish external fires.
25. turret protected, radial engine cooling housing, turret is providing cover from above to the engine vents, thus making it hard to hit from above with an rpg, also the vent has an rear blow-out for creating a black smoke screen.
this rear vent can also be used as secondary vent for air coolant might the top radial vent be blocked or obstructed.
As said its still in WIP stage:
WIP (turret roof needs to be finished, (add an HMG or MG Auto-turret with ATGM launch-pods at rear back end of turret),
also add homogeneous turret roof Armour plates and APS top protection system.

A bit late, I know, but the turret being so short makes it seem as though the gun has very limited depression. Even with hydropneumatic suspension, that needs attention. I also wouldn't worry much about anti-jam GPS, against a peer adversary, it's more likely the GPS are going to be eliminated with ASAT weapons instead of have their signals jammed. Looks cool though.

Well I scraped this design, I never really finished this tank, the vehicle was to long and had short comes, and indeed it had terrible depression...
here's a more updated HFV tank I'm working on ATM, sta.sh/0pzbmuiljsr (it follows the same guide as this one)
all of the tanks I create have a realistic internal diesel electric drive train concept: sta.sh/015kin7tjc0n
Also this one tank was build around this concept.
