Why is it everytime I draw a char they ALWAYS look different!?

Anyway, earlier a couple of people have asked me when did Hitomi first started hating Mamoru, since I suck at writing I'll draw the story up in two parts. First one here depicts Hitomi and her team-mates back in their Academy days about a year ago. The class were finally having their graduation test, the task was to deflect a whole series of shuriken using either a weapon or a justu--blindfolded (since Sight Ninja are known to use their other senses in battle).

Taku: Wow, that dude was amazing! He's got some real sweet moves there.

Ryusei: Pfft, this is child's play.

Hitomi: Looks pretty hard to me. And blinfolded? I'm not sure I can pass this.

Taku: Relax Hitomi, you can ace this no problem!

Hitomi: *smiles a little* I hope so. Thanks Taku-san.

Teacher: Up next is... Wada Mamoru.

Ryusei: *scowls upon hearing the next perosn's name* Not him.

Taku & Hitomi: Who?

Ryusei: You'll see. *jerks a thumb at the stairs next to him*

A darked haired young man with tan skin confidently strides down the steps, wearing an smug smile, with girls on both sides making fan-girl squeals over him.

Random Girl (1): OMG it's Wada Mamoru!

Random Girl (2): What a dream! He's so gonna pass this!

Random Girl (3): He's just so cool!

Mamoru: *turns to face the class and gives them a bright vindictive grin*

Taku: Eh? Who does this Mamoru guy think he is?

Ryusei: A stuck-up nancy who thinks he's God's gift to women. I don't like his kind one bit.

Mamoru: *just as he was about to start his turn, something catches the corner of his eye, causing him to turn and spot Hitomi*

Hitomi: Hm? Guys, he's looking at me.

Taku & Ryusei: Oh no...

Mamoru: *smiles and walks up to her* *pulls out a rose and holds it out to her* For the fairest one in all of Land of Sight.

Hitomi: *blushing bright pink* Oh...umm...thank you... *gingerly accepts the rose*

Mamoru: I shall dedicate my performance to you, Princess. I hope it will please you. *lightly bows his head before turning his heel and over to the centre of the classroom*

Taku: Looks like you really got his attention there Hitomi.

Ryusei: *brooding menacingly* ... ...

Mamoru blindfolds himself, pulls out two katanas then assumes a fighting stance, waiting patiently for his test to commence. Moments later, over 20 shurikens comet toward him at immense speed, only to be deflected back by the katanas in a swift, skillful manner.

Teacher: ... excellent manoeuvring and speed Mr Wada. You graduate with high scores.

Class: *clapping loudly*

Mamoru: *removes his blindfold, smirks triumphantly then starts walking back to his seat* *on the way up, he glances at Hitomi for a moment* I look forward to seeing your performance Princess. *gives her a charming smile and walks away*

Hitomi: *is blushing a brighter pink than before* ...he's...quite a charmer...

Taku: Meh, he's a total show-off. Anyone can do what he just did back there.

Ryusei: I'd keep my ditsance from him if I were you, Hitomi. Mamoru looks like nothing but trouble.

Teacher: Next up...Tetsuda Ryusei.

Umm...yeah, that's pretty much it.
