I'm just now starting to try and sell some of my work. I'm on Etsy, but just started and really small. Takes a lot just to get the photos ready, etc. Where would you suggest I start to get my work out there? I'm not in a huge rush, nothing but time.

There are some sites that I'll have to get back to you about. I only have my phone right now. I'll tell you this though, I started out building a portfolio. When I felt it was strong enough, I began showing it in it's entirety to friends. I then asked them to talk to their wealthier friends, (everyone knows a few,) about hosting a private showing. Most were thrilled with the idea and the orivare showings are really fun, BUT YOU HAVE TO STAY SOBER. Once I had a few of them under my belt, galleries opened their doors just a little wider. Never underestimate the power of networking your art.

Great idea. Never thought about private showings. Yes my portfolio is growing. Pretty soon the paintings are going to be in the bed as it's the only place left that doesn't have a painting. Thanks for the ideas.
