Here you go. A comic explaining both the origins of Luna's Royal guards and relieving Spike of his worries.I assume with the multitude of ways spike has grown, dragons can grow to any number of sizes and shapes in adulthood based on life choices.

Yes, but what if Rarity said something terrible, or Spike realized later that Rarity basically seduced him out of one of his gemstones, or Rarity just decided to tell Spike she simply doesn't feel the same way about him. Is it possible he might find someone else? Someone's who's closer to his age? Perhaps someone with an adorable little bow?

I'm not saying Spike/Applebloom isn't adorable, it is, I just go with cannon. Honestly I do like them (years later) as a thing. I think they'd fit well.

Well, now that I think about it, I don't know how I could work it into MLD. Not without forcing it. There are no time jumps, so it wouldn't work.
