Following advice I had an experiment with Paint tool SAI. I found using it kind of like driving a car on ice: I didn't feel in control at all but after getting used to it you end up somewhere approaching where you want to be.It does have potential for further experimentation.

Use a stock image, such as [link] and copy it with a very large brush so that you don't focus on details so much, and instead focusing on the shades and shapes.

But I like detail :S
Anyway I shall give it a go what I next get the chance.

You may like detail, but you have to concentrate more on big shapes.
