Lately, one of my many coping methods for dealing with the stress in my life has been falling asleep to ASMR videos on YouTube. I've been experiencing ASMR for decades, before it even had a name, let alone an Internet community, so stuff like this is right up my alley. My mind wandered to Abby, my favorite aquaphilic Millennial nerd - what if she tried her hand at doing one of these relaxing little sense-stimulating videos? Knowing her, she'd definitely want to do it underwater. I can't imagine it's easy to understand someone whispering through a mouthful of bubbles, but I'm sure that's got to be at least one viewer's trigger

Seems like Abby would be in to ASMR, a chance to express herself in a way that's comfortable for her, doesn't require her to speak up really loudly, and where a wallflower like herself could be appreciated for who she is, what she has to say and how she chooses to say it.
I wrote a LONG comment in response to this work but just now my phone rang and for some reason I reflexively closed the tab I had open before answering it. Not sure it would have been worth reading but I just wanted to say that I really like this character and am always really happy to see her show up in something when I check my watchlist here.

I love this concept! I too have always experienced ASMR and frequently watch ASMR videos. I also want to be an ASMR artist someday. I havenβt fell asleep to any yet however, because I always want to stay awake to enjoy them. But I would like to start falling asleep to them, because I think it will help!

I typically sleep less to actual ASMR videos and more to cozy game streams from LPers and ex-LPers like NintendoCapriSun and Patty/Pcull...results vary
