For every special occasion in my family (birthdays, holidays, whatever), I've never actually gone out and bought someone a greeting card - I've always drawn them myself. Yesterday was my dad's 58th birthday, and this is the card I drew him. I'm re-reading my "Bloom County" books this week, so I was in an Opus mood. The message on the inside says "Fortunately, that last one pretty much makes up for everything else."Happy birthday, Dad!

Aww, that's a heck of a good idea, mate, making your own cards like that. Gives more feeling to them.
Also, I'm a HUGE Bloom County fan. Sadly, the only book I have so far is the original very first book, Bloom County "Loose Tails". But I've read the Opus comic for years. Good to see someone drawing the little penguin. Such a classic strip needs more recognition.

They could probably fit the entire run of "Outland" in one book; same goes for "Opus", which (as far as I know) hasn't been properly collected anywhere outside of those first few months in the 25th anniversary book.
