Description
Watching IBM's Watson on "Jeopardy" a few weeks back, I couldn't help but feel a little creeped out that a talking computer was kicking two humans' asses at a trivia game. Granted, it isn't perfect - every so often it'd glitch up and repeat someone else's wrong answer or something - but it's still enough to make you think. In this case, Michelle is thinking "I could do better than that." And wouldn't you know it, she's right...Related content

I'm waiting for the day when personal computers can store 62.5 terabytes of data in a square inch and transfer that data at 12.5 terabytes per second. Then our PCs will be able to run IBM Watson locally, and we could play Jeopardy on our PCs with custom-generated clues in custom a generated categories. All you would have to do is create a category name, design a sample question and answer, and let the IBM Watson take it from there. It would make a great test prep tool. Then clone the voices of Alex Trebek and Johnny Gilbert, and you have the complete Jeopardy experience.

Yeah, Computers in Webcomics inevitably end up being Evil AIs in some fashion.

Is it wrong to say that I can picture Watson going all HAL in the future?

Yeah well I think the computer had a slight edge over the humans on that show, given it has near perfect memory and can have data on virtually any subject at it's finger tips. Still yes just a bit weird.

Given that the two of them (or three, as the case may be) seem to be sitting on Michelle's bed, it's probably a good thing Watkins announced itself before they started making out.

I loved how Ken Jennings kept joking about computers taking over humanity. It won't be long before we start seeing all-computer contestant game shows.

I can see some influence from the iFruit with Watkins. Of course, that may just be a coincidence, but if it was intentional, this could get interesting.

I was waiting for Watson to say " I'm sorry Mr. Trebek, I'm afraid I won't answer that. "

Wow, she's crazy strong and super smart! And not the least bit Mary Sue-ish.
This looks like it'll be a fun story.
