Description
That new Red Riding Hood movie is pretty shameless in its efforts to rope in the Twilight crowd. Apparently, there's a werewolf in this one, plus a bunch of star-crossed lovers and a lot of blood. I seem to recall the original fairy tale being a lot simpler. So I couldn't resist doing a parody this week - and who better to cast as an irritable Red Riding Hood than Jocelyn?Related content

Actually the 16th cnetury version is alot bloodier with the wolf tricking Red into eating her grandma and more sex and blood and so on... Damn brothers Grimm made all the stories catholic approveable when catholosism became popular... Normally these stories where all very sexual and bloody so that grown men could tell them to each other when drinking in the tavern. Sort of like how we men tell eachother dirty jokes when there are no women

Her face in the first panel = happiest Jocelyn I've ever seen. XD
Also, interaction with the narrator. Nice.

I totally agree with you, dude. It's terrible. I was excited to hear that they were making it until I saw the trailer and thought it was for Breaking Dawn. What the hell, right?

Hoodwinked was awesome enough as a Little Red Riding Hood spin-off. I wish people wouldn't kill that with another one

Warner Bros. should be ashamed of themselves for jumping on the 'Twilight' band wagon with this shameless knock off. People should be watching Friz Freleng's 'Little Red Riding Rabbit' instead! (GRAAAAAAAAND MAAAAAAAA!)

It's like the stupidest movie EVER. Me and all my friends took up the two back rows just to make fun of it the whole time. Hehehehehehehe.

First off, I really liked Hoodwinked, and I'm really looking forward to the sequel. Second, I'm glad to see that everyone knows a Twilight ripoff when they see one. I have a really bad feeling that Jocelyn is either not going to like this, or is going to try and make it her own!

This movie's trying to succeed where Hoodwinked did half-decently.

Now, not all Red Riding Hood adations are bad. Let us not forget Hoodwinked. But it is a pretty damn stupid idea to make a horror film.

XD I actually liked it alot, the romance was a little obvious but kinda enjoyable to watch, 0o what got my friends and I riled up was trying to figure out who the wolf was. By the last twenty minutes we were all silently screaming 'Who the F^%& is it?!' DX 0o and the visuals and music was pretty boss too, especially during the party scene. XD and it was kinda cheesy but funny how they threw in all the elements of the fairy tale.
XD This is funny though. Long gone are the days of a 'simple' fairy tale. Like, have you Seen Pan's Labyrinth? Nyaha

Actually the original Norse legend that Red Riding Hood is based off of was a lot darker and more involved, and on top of that the original Grim tale had a bigger plot than the one we grew up with. Agreed, Hollywood is reaching for ideas, but they are sticking to the original story with this one.

That's the thing about the old fairy tales. First they 'drop' the mature or bloody stuff, then they go and now they put in different mature or bloody stuff.

When in the forest she was spotted by Justin Bieber. He took the short cut to Grandma's and imprisoned the old lady in his hair care products. He took her place and Red saw him and said "Grandma, what ridiculous hair you have."

Seriously, they`re running out of ideas. And another movie, Beastly, is from a novel that is pretty much a re-write of Beauty and the Beast.

Alizabith In reply to SoraWolf7 [2011-03-14 19:15:06 +0000 UTC]
It is a rewrite... basically it's beauty and the beast in the city, and he's not that bad looking, and she has to live at his house because of "drugs" for some reason. It was never really explained. I read the book, and it was awful.
