Description
All the ideas I concocted way back when for my Wreck-It Ralph fanfic have been rushing back to me lately, and I've been doing my best to get them all on paper so I don't forget them again. In these sketches, I'm introducing a few more of the new characters I wanted to work into the story.
Kyle is a new employee at Litwak's Arcade and Family Fun Center - but let's just say he doesn't share Mr. Litwak's idea of what fun is. Surly, forgetful, and lazy, Kyle works harder than anyone else at the arcade...at avoiding his job. Most of the time, he just hangs out talking to his friend Bernie, the heavy-set fellow in the hoodie, who's taken an interest in the arcade's twin Sugar Rush consoles. From his vantage point at the top of Niceland Apartments, Ralph notices that something is amiss - who's this shady-looking character poking around behind Vanellope's game, anyway? And who's the arcade employee that's letting him?
Already a bit on edge after Pac-Man's catastrophic unplugging, Ralph voices his concern to his friends. Vanellope isn't worried, because her game is running at 100% and rakes in the quarters every day - why would anyone unplug it? But Felix and Calhoun figure it's better to be safe than sorry, and Calhoun commands her troops to stake out Sugar Rush in case of an emergency. And then we meet another new character - well, sort of new, anyway.
Colonel Lockload was originally created by the Disney artists for the early drafts of Wreck-It Ralph, a stern superior officer in Hero's Duty who proudly wears the Medal of Heroes and has no patience for Ralph's clumsiness. As the story evolved in a different direction, the character was dropped, but I found a place for him in my would-be sequel story - he puts the kibosh on Calhoun's efforts to protect Vanellope, arguing that it's a direct violation of her programming. Lockload still holds a grudge against Calhoun, blaming her for the disastrous Cy-Bug escape that happened in the first movie, and he disapproves of her happy marriage to Felix, insisting that it's best for her to remain surly and traumatized to better uphold the tragic backstory she was programmed with. So what'll happen to Sugar Rush without Calhoun's troops ready to protect it? Well, only time will tell, I suppose...

You really capture the emotions in their expressions.
