Inspired by the comments left on "Days of Wine and Jo-ses", I'm endeavoring to improve my underwater artwork in as many ways as possible. First up: the hair. I've never really felt comfortable with the way I've drawn underwater hair in the past, and I created a new character as an excuse to practice it: professional scuba diver Valerie White, whose long blond hair is one of her most recognizable features (well, that and her bright purple wetsuit). Here she is clearing her dive mask on the ocean floor - you can expect to see her in other aquatic scenarios in the future.Related content

There's one way to clear it: surfuce, then remove it.

Nice work on the hair ,and the tint gives it a nice under watery feel. If you have photoshop I'd play around with some spot light effects in the upper half of the background to give it a sunshine through the water effect.

You've got a good eye for underwater. The fluff and flow of her hair looks very realistic to the resistance the water is giving.

It takes practice, believe me. I've been drawing underwater scenes for a while now, and it was years before I could even get the hair and bubbles to look somewhat convincing.

The hair looks good. I never had much of a problem with your hair before so it still looks good now.
Also, the water tone on the skin looks much better than the green you were using. Kudos on that one!
