This is what comes from doing your research. The stereotypical view of goth people is that they're all just sad and whiny all the time, but really, most people in the goth subculture have a great sense of humor. It may be a weird sense of humor - but hey, Joel appreciates weirdness

My dad has a similar sense of humor to Tabitha. He says a lot of things that other people might find weird, but are pretty funny.
Here's just a few of the things he says:
Person: "I'll be right back."
Dad: "That's what my dad said."
(family about to leave to do something)
Dad: "Okay, time to boogie with the bear."
Dad: "This reminds me of an old chinese proverb...

When things in life just don't go your way
When things go wrong and you don't know why
When you want to smile but have to cry

I get a lot of my sense of humor from him.
