In response to Andrew Dickman's challenge of drawing our favorite spooky characters for Halloween, I've rendered one of the most memorable freaks from MST3K's rich film library - Torgo, the shuddery, stilted caretaker from "Manos: The Hands of Fate".

Does he qualify as a monster? Well, according to Tom Servo, he does: "Exaggerated physical attribute, in this case, the knees, used to induce terror." According to the folks who helped to make the movie, Torgo's thunder-thighs are supposed to make him look like a satyr, suggesting that he's in league with the devil. Instead, it just suggests that this movie was made on a budget of about twenty dollars.

Torgo is (c) Hal Warren, or he would be if the poor dope bothered to copyright his movie. But after seeing the finished product, can you really blame him?
