Licensed music replacement be damned, I finally bought "Daria: The Complete Animated Series" on DVD, and man, am I hooked
I couldn't resist doing more fan art, so I sketched a quick lineup of Daria, Jane, Trent, Quinn, Kevin, and Brittany after I finished off Disc 1 last night.

What I always loved about Daria was the 'oh god, can we just get this OVER?' attitude the characters had about school. That always fit very well with my memories of high school. An utter absence of the Archie hijinks, and the keen awareness that there was something braindead and boring, but still more worthwhile than THIS on TV

Daria has some hot babes to look at and I absolutely love the series.

I bought the Complete Series DVDs a while back and I rewatch it anytime I can! I'm absolutely obsessed with Daria, the episodes are just so good!!! Just a heads up, the film "Is It Fall Yet?" (which is on the last disc in the bonus features) should be watched between Season 4 and 5. For some reason they didn't put the films chronologically. Enjoy the rest of the series! Β

The only downside side of the DVD set is it doesn't have the original music. Β Back when it was on MTV the commercial breaks and closing credits always had some plot-relevant song that was big at the time. Β

On the plus side, Outpost Daria has a comprehensive list of every song from the broadcast versions of every episode, right down to the scenes they were used in. So at the very least, I can imagine what it was like.
