I'm still workin' on those requests, don't you guys worry; however, this was actually in production before I put it on the back burner to make that comic, so I just wanted to finish it real quick.So yeah, Princess Takoyaki; figured I should draw her again, this time showing off how she has a bit of a soft spot for Tuff. Of course more often than not she likes to be too close for comfort, so it embarrasses him a great deal; to make matters worse, Adeleine is here to witness this awkward moment! And it would seem Takoyaki here has no intention to let him go even with an audience...! Poor kid can't catch a break!

Well I'm sure the Octolings know what Inklings are; Takoyaki doesn't even remember that she is an Octoling (she knows she's an octopus girl, but she doesn't realize she's not the only one of her kind)!

Very Nice! I find the whole thing funny, and Princess Takoyaki certainly adds charm to your OC list.

Thank you! And yeah, Takoyaki certainly acts however she wants, feeling privileged to do so as princess of Dream Land. Drawing everyone's facial expressions was also pretty fun to do!

I'd like to see how good of a Fighter she could be alongside King DeDeDe at some point. She certainly has the physique to handle any threat.

Takoyaki is actually a surprisingly good fighter, even without the weapons from Splatoon (which due to the circumstances of her arrival on Pop Star, she has forgotten how to use). I have yet to draw an example of this, but she can breathe fire and her ink has the same properties as the fire Goop from Super Mario Sunshine (as she is loosely based on Octacon , that giant octopus Demon Beast from the first episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!). She's also able to swim in water, but that's thanks to Dedede giving her a vaccine that allows Takoyaki to touch it (mainly so she could bathe and whatnot).

That's.... Interesting to have her breathe fire, though the ink properties is certainly fascinating.
As for the Vaccine, does she have to take those vaccines every once in awhile, or is it a "One time only, and it's permanent" thing?

Tuff: "NO IT'S NOT! Her ink stuff just gets on me whenever she does stuff like this! It's gross!"
(I have a feeling that Inklings & Octolings would feel a bit... Well, slimier to the touch compared to humans, especially with the lack of bones. It won't rub off on others of their kind, but their ink may stick to vertebrates a little bit)
And yeah, she wasn't born with the fire powers, but Takoyaki doesn't remember why she even has them. She can't exactly use the ink effectively without any of the required weaponry though, so swimming and hiding in ink doesn't makeup part of her moveset (though she naturally still can). And the vaccine was a one-time permanent use; Tuff is not safe even in the water (which might be worse since she can now swim just like an actual octopus)!

That's quite odd. So the slime kind of stabilizes their form in some manner?
So she's still trying to learn her own capabilities basically.

Tuff:
An Inkling's/Octoling's body is almost entirely composed of ink; it's what allows them to go through metal grates and similar barriers in squid/octopus form, but also the reason they dissolve upon falling in a body of water.
As of now she can use the full moveset of the Fire Copy Ability. She's not too concerned about improving though (but when it comes to raw power, she is unnaturally strong as is).

So essentially, Inklings and Octolings are somewhat similar in form to a T-1000. Got it.
And a Lot of Untapped Strength for our Princess Octoling. Interesting.

I still have a lot to learn regarding the Splatoon World. It's still a lot for a PC Gamer to process.

Well so far the Splatoon series is only two games long, but they're new and there's already a lot of lore to dig into between them. Worth checking out if you're interested.
