Description
"The centauress knelt upon her equine legs and tipped her wide-brimmed hat, which protected her brown eyes from the blazing noontime sun overhead...She rose on her fore legs. Her equine portion sported an auburn hide and black tail, while her human portion was covered in olive-colored skin. Her dark auburn hair hung over her shoulder in a ponytail. Her lithe frame was fitted with a tan long-sleeved blouse covered by a leather vest and with a frilled-edge blanket-like shawl draped over her shoulders like a cape. A leather satchel hung from her waist, girded by a leather belt, and across her back was slung a crossbow and quiver of bolts.'Yo, Giacomo!' She whistled to her fairy friend. 'Take a close look at this fella and see if he’s still living or not.'
The fairy was as tall as an outstretched hand. He had a slim dark-skinned figure dressed in a green tunic and matching burlap cap, under which peeked pointy ears and a shock of short purple hair."
For as long as they can remember, Philippa the centaur and Giacomo the fairy have been close friends. Their herd and finagle travel alongside each other and settle in Arden wherever the seasons take them. Philippa is the rough-and-tumble no-nonsense type who's a real sharp shooter with her crossbow. Giacomo, meanwhile, is a feisty little fellow who, despite his small size, can use his plant magic to subdue any foe larger than himself.
