Well the US Army canceled the IC competition due to budget, well instead of buying a new rifle why not buy the uppers of the HK416 and put them on the M4 carbines lowers. Am I the only one who thought of this.Related content

Seems to fit together. Is the HK416 cheaper than the M4 Carbine? If so, then it could easily work as a front-line mass-production weapon.
