This wonderful poem by the 19th-century German writer and poet Theodor Fontane went through my head again and again this morning on my bike tour to the Ridderoordse bossen near Bilthoven. His promise that your worries will dissipate like mist when you take your walking stick on a summer morning. was the right companion to set the soul free.
