This is so beautiful. I love the warm orange color, the silhouette of the swan, and it's reflection in the water.

All our swans are black. Evening or morning or lunchtime

Yes, yours are black, and ours only in contra-light.

Simple, but beautiful... and so calm, I can almost see as she moves further. Love it

Oh lovely shot! I love the way the light works in this piece: how the water is still reflecting the evening sky, so it is all warm and bright, but the swan is cloaked in shadow. This makes it very different (and in my opinion more beautiful) than all those "white swan" + "dark lake" pictures you see in cologne advertisements.

Beautiful romantic shot! Yes.. she seems sad and longing for her partner.. though I read that he was near, just out of the frame
I don't mind blueish tint on her body.. It is so natural in the evening light! It is what we see with our own eyes..

romantic, yet I get very disturb by the blueish tint of her body/wings. The head and neck are pretty much silhouette-black. But the body has got this blueish tint, its a pitty, takes away most of the gorgeous beauty. Maybe theres something to do about that in Photoshop?
good luck if you are going to try this!

Many thanks for the suggestion. Please forgive if I do not follow it up. This time I just like the shot and its colour spectrum as they are.

I won't hold a grudge that you're not following up on my suggestion, after all it's just a matther of taste in the end!

somehow sad... only one swan... but very beautiful!

No worry, she was not alone! Her partner was just out of the picture. I tried to get both into a shot, but that did unfortunately not work.
