Description
Out of a group of about 10 swans four came fortunately a bit closer to the shore line to allow me to take this after-sunset shot of them at the outer Kiel Fjord near Neustein at the Baltic Sea.For an even later shot please compare on my esperimenti-gallery: [link]

your pictures are absoluetly stunning. When I get on to Deviant Art I usually just wander and browse, rarely do I click onto anyone's gallery, in your case though I have actually added you to my favorites and called others in my household over from their TV watching to see your wonderful pictures. Just WOW

Now they look indeed like black swans! While they are white ones, of course, in our world here.

it looks very beautiful... would it look even better if u could have used to the flash to fill in some light on the swans.. tht would make them light up a bit
just a thought... this photograph is perfect in every sense

I am afraid the swans were too far away for that. And it might still have chased them away. I actually had to take quite a number of shots, because either one or two or three of the swans had their heads in the water to search for food. So it was pretty tricky to get them all with their heads up.

ah ok... yes tht wuld make it difficult to use a fill flash
and these birds are quite the buggers really... they never behave the way we want them
