Part 2 of a three part series! I'm trying to demonstrate what I deem to be the two extremes of what fans of 40k want it to look like. Where as most will prefer somewhere in the middle, and many argue that the universe is big enough that both grimbright and grimdarkest could exist somewhere in the galaxy, this is merely a study of how one scene can change drastically depending on the atmosphere and the detail work.

This time, I did a scene of a Sister of Battle fighting Tyranids. In lore, they're already described as pretty freaky and scary but in the "grimbright" version, they're more or less just angry monsters. But the "Grimdarkest" version leans more into the idea that they're less of a species and more of a "connected ecosystem" where there's millions of different bioforms from the microbe level all the way up to the hive ships. They're also designed in every way to be revolting and disturbing on a primal, instinctual level. Where it's not enough that they're attacking you with scythes and talons but also you have to worry about the parasites and acid they're casually spitting up all over the place.

Take a guess at what the next part will be; I'm curious as to where people think I'm gonna go with this.
