People seemed to like that piece a lot so I wanted to do 8 new chapter redesigns and throw in some Fanon chapters as well. Keep in mind that all of these chapters still employ the typical aesthetics of astartes standardized armor; but these are special armor types that best represent the faction and are venerated within their ranks.

Here's some context to each faction:

Mantis Warrior

Originally chosen by the High Lords of Terra to stand vanguard against malicious warp storms, this chapter broke their vow of loyalty when they sided with the Astral Claws during the Badab War. Ever since then, they serve penitence in crusade after crusade despite only numbering around 100 astartes in total.

Red Corsair

Originally the Astral Claws chapter, they turned renegade during the events of the Badab War and now act as space pirates that constantly harass loyalist fleets in the Ultima Segmentum. They rely heavily on hit and run tactics, suddenly appearing out of the darkness of space to deliver a vicious and chaotic strike before disappearing as quickly as they had appeared.

Death Spectres

Humanity suffered greatly at the hands of a xenos plague known as “The Pale Wasting” in M35. Since then, this marine chapter has stood vigilantly at the rim of the Ghoul Stars to repel any other threats that may crawl from that region as the infamous plague did before. They rarely speak and often prefer to stay out of direct light, but will leap into action at the sight of unknown xenos attacks, no matter how terrifying the threat may seem.

Marines Malevolent

Firm believers in the value of hatred and disgust, these marines are infamous among chapters for not only their sheer arrogance but their almost gleeful disregard for the lives of civilians. They will just as soon open fire on fleeing civilians as they would attacking adversaries. In their eyes, they know that they are made for war and it's what they will do. War is brutal, cruel, and never ending. So why worry so much about the casualties?

Dark Kraken

A chapter that specializes in underwater combat, they will typically be found crusading on ocean worlds. Recently they have been spotted fighting alongside the Deep Angels on Planet Brine in the Dark Imperium, but that’s a story for another time.

Sons of Malice

There are whispers of a secret 5th chaos god of self destruction. It is worshiped by a small but deadly renegade warband that attacks both loyalists and traitors, humans and xenos, enemy and ally. They don’t crave war so much as they crave annihilation; the decay and entropy of all things accelerated to a maddening degree. They watch as their skin peels away and the bone beneath withers into dust and it sends shivers of excitement up their spine.

Angry Marine

They’re marines and they're angry. What else do you want? Additional nuance? Get the fuck out of here with that nerd shit. I said fuck off! I’LL FUCK U UP, BITCH! I’LL GUT U WITH A POTATO PEELER! XENOS LOVER! HERETIC HUMPER!

Space Maids

One of the lost Legions returns with a desire to kill all xenos and also provide high level cuisine. In honor of their cat-eared primarch, the Space Maids venerate the aesthetics of the classic human pet of the 2nd to 3rd millennium along with the frilly uniforms of ancient custodians found within the richest estates.
