Description OK, here is the deal: this is a research about design and more precisely about book covers!

Here, you can see two different books I designed and illustrated (not for professional purpose). As you can see, I ‘ve hidden the information written on each book so you can see only the image of the cover and the title...
The title of the first book is: Ithaka
and of the second: A magic word.

Now, you have to guess what each book is about...
For example, the first book (image A) is ...a fashion magazine
and the second (image B) is an article about ...alien ships!

You can also add any other comment to justify your answer.

Please be honest. The statistics of this research will be demonstrated in a desk research in September in (TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATIONAL INSITUTE (TEI) OF ATHENS FACULTY OF GRAPHIC ARTS & DESIGN DEPARTMENT OF GRAPHIC DESIGN) .
After that, I will let the secret out...

Thank you for your participation!

FightCrab said to me, check this out! So I got here to see it with my own eyes and say what I can say! I won't write in greek cause I think the other people should understand what I say (FightCrab, for whom the bell tolls?) but I will try to make it clear in english. 1st picture: I would say it is a museum guide/book or a book about statues. To tell you the truth, I did not think of poetry at all...well if I saw it in a bookstore/library at the poetry section, I would definitely do, but, on its own, no way. 2nd picture: the first thing that caught my eye was the traffic light and for a moment I thought of a book about Road Signs or driving behaviour, then I saw the whole of it and of course it could only be a children's book, no doubt about that.

Well...the first one, judging by the title which is actually a greek island, could be...a travel guide maybe! Well, the cover is a bit too "serious" for a travel guide, probably a guide for the ancient monuments on the island? On the other hand, it might have something to do with poetry I think. Ithaka is the title of a poem by a famous greek poet...my favourite one, Konstantinos Kavafis! I hope it is my second guess!

The second one is speaking for itself. Could be nothing else than a book for kids! Well, the truth is when I saw the cover, the red light caught my eye first and I thought about a book concerning Highway Code and traffic offences. But the other sketches have nothing to do with that, so I'm gonna stick with the kids' book
