There are ladders. Boys and girls both have them.

Boys have one ladder. This is the "Girls I'd Like to Sleep With" ladder. Just about every girl a boy meets (outside of family) is on this ladder. She may be high on the ladder, she may be low on the ladder, but she is on the ladder.

Girls, however, have two ladders. The "Boys I'd Like to Sleep with" ladder and the "Friends" ladder.

A boy on the "Friend" ladder who has the girl high up on the "Girls I'd Like to Sleep With" ladder is in a most awkward situation. This is because girls also have the "Abyss".

Boys who try to jump from the "Friends" ladder to the "Boys I'd Like to Sleep with Ladder" often fall into the "Abyss" and can never get on either ladder ever again. BUT...if a boy is smart, quick witted, and clever...he can time his jump and land safely on the more desirable ladder.

...and Kurt can teleport
