Description With the raw cylinder block balanced in position, the un-detailed but unmistakable shape of 'Blue Circle' starts to become apparent.

Annoyingly the original crankshaft mechanism, which was working perfectly, completely failed on me and desperate measures were being considered.  However, a quick experiment with a sliver of rubber tubing acting against the right wheel made for a mechanism far more reliable than before, so the crank and flywheel now turn quite happily.  Fortunately the prototype has a lubricator eccentric here so it's not wholly incorrect (even if oversized) and much of the engine is red, so close enough.  To fix it though (viz the conical cover painted black here) I probably used the strangest material ever - a cone of hardened glue slid off the base of a poly-glue applicator.  Proves literally anything can be useful!!!

Very impressive so far! I've recently got into N scale, particularly Japanese N scale. Although I do have some US stock. Making such a small loco seems even more impressive in such a scale! Would look good on a shunting layout of the cement plant.

Reliability and scale speed are the main issues, but it's good fun & doesn't take up too much space.
