Description The first recolor, out of many, of 's bases of the separate tribes and hybrids of Tui T. Sutherland's Wings of Fire series.

My first attempt at dragonifying random characters to fit into the Wings of Fire universe.  At the start of the line is Rapunzel as seen in the movie Tangled, and I chose her to be a RainWing, a race of dragons that lives in the Rainforest Kingdom.  What makes them stand out from the other tribes is their ability to eject venom (a lot like Chrichton's Dilophosaurus) and also to change color, something which would befit Rapunzel, whom we know to be avid about art.

As you can see, the color scheme is based on the movie character's color scheme--the purples and pinks of her clothing and the gold of her hair.

So what's with the "Magic" in the title?  Well, watching the TV series gives me the inspiration for King Frederic and Queen Arianna, her real parents, to be SkyWings, which the books have shaped to be the most extravagant and politically-driven of the races.  So could Rapunzel the RainWing have been adopted?  Not necessarily.  The books bring up a RainWing named Chameleon, who ironically could not change color due to a deformed snout.  In compensation, he found a magic scroll created by the ancient NightWing Darkstalker, which allows the writer to change whomever he wrote into someone else.  As a result, Chameleon had taken on many forms--a MudWing named Bog, a NightWing aptly named Shapeshifter, an IceWing named Cirrus and a SkyWing named Soar.  It might be that aside from the sun-drop flower that gave Rapunzel her golden locks, Mother Gothel might also have Darkstalker's scroll to change Rapunzel into a bubbly RainWing to make sure she'd never suspect the truth.

So what would Rapunzel look like in her original SkyWing form?  That I don't know yet, as Rapunzel doesn't look any different in the series from in the movie.
