LOL I'm kinda geeky myself when it comes to video games. When I'm not reading up on reviews of the latest games, I sometimes look up facts about the history and cultural impact of past games and systems!

NES Track and Field is only the beginning. Just wait until Lyra loads up Excitebike! I love the concept on this one, and the combination of the three art styles works really well. Bon-bon's expression is great, that mix between 'oh, this again' and 'wait, what?!" Also, now I need to go reload some NES Rom's...

LOL Excitebike's theme just played back in my head while reading this!

Bon-Bon was the trickiest part here, really. It took me a while to make her look confused rather than sad or angry about what she's looking at.

Also, speaking of NES roms, have you tried the SMB2 pony mod? It was great!

Yep, it's a pretty good mod! The best way to enjoy it really is to play through the all the levels without warping.

Seriously, I needed to pause the game on the first boss fight cause I just burst out laughing when I saw who it was!
