I tried my hand at redesigning Malefor from the Legend of Spyro series if he were to appear in a classic styled game.Unlike the Legend series, purple dragons aren't a rare occurrence in the classic games. And blatantly ignoring Enter the Dragonfly and A Hero's Tail, they all only breath fire naturally. So I made Malefor a warlock so that he can preform elemental spells! Like all the other older dragons, Malefore is bipedal. I also gave him robes because I remember reading somewhere that someone said they played Dawn of the Dragon, and they depicted Malefor as "Wearing lots of robes." Not sure why they said that, Malefor doesn't wear anything in DotD.:/
I hate the Legend of Spyro series, but Malefor is the only character I like from that series. I wouldn't mind seeing him as the villian in the next Spyro game if the Reignited Trilogy does well! Not sure how they would do Cynder, tho. Idgaf about her honestly.

I've never fully played a Legend of Spyro game but I remember renting at least one of them in the past.Β

TLOS was ok but do you know what will really make this interesting if Malefor from TLOS was connected with the Reignited Trilogy. I can imagine a new possible game we're Red returns and that later on he discovers an ancient dark crystal that holds Malefor for thousands of years and has a plan to harnessed his power with an artifact or something but in the end his body was sacrificed becoming the new and improved Malefor.

I never liked The Legend of Spyro either.
However, if I could imagine Malefor if he was in the classic series, it would be like this:
He was once one of the elder dragons, but was banished because of his ever-increasing lust for power. He could still be intimidating, but the main humor (to fit with this series) would be that he would be forced to content with incompetent henchmen.
There is one thing I would do about Cynder though. In this incarnation, she would be Malefor's supposed daughter who is doing errands for him. She, like Bianca, would have a heel-face revelation and turn against her father.

That's kinda what I had in mind, too. Another bit of humor I thought up is his ambitions for destroying the world. Like, he explains his plan for destroying the world, then Spyro is like,"What are you going to do when there is no world left?" And then Malefor would be like,"Umm.............t-that doesn't matter now!"
I don't know what they could do with Cynder. I do know that she's Malefors daughter in the Skylanders cartoon on Netflix. But as long as they don't make her a love interest for Spyro, I'm fine with it.

Cynder could go through the same character development she did in the original games but only have a platonic relationship with Spyro. ( Although if her character arc is too close to Bianca's then they may have to change a few things about her dynamic with Malefor. )Β

Awesome art style
This would be a Awesome Come back for Spyro 4
Hopefully if Spyro Reignited Trilogy dose successful enough
it could convince other Developer's to make
Origin Spyro into Gen 4 Spyro to finally Bring Spyro Back
he keep's His Infinite Flight Ability
and Spyro would meet Malefor in Spyro's Original Game
this would be a AWESOME Game for Spyro 4
