Description
Red, the Pokemon master and everything Ash SHOULD be but ISN'T!XPI love Red, he's badass!
And I really like his current design, too. People are probably going to hate me for saying that, but It's just that his classic design looks a whole lot like Ash!XD And Ash is just pathetic compaired to Red. They should have made the anime about him!
Here's his team of Pokemon from Gold/Silver and Brawl~
Pikachu- Met at Viridian Forest and caught cause he's the mascot, so It's a must! Pikachu is often playful and curious and always goes first.
Lapras- Red got this one from some random person while trying to save Silph co. from Team Rocket whether or not he would've succeeded.
Red usually leaves him for cruising the sea and for putting the freeze on opponents. Lapras is usually very loyal and gentle!
Snorlax- Using the Poke Flute he got from Mr. Fugi at Lavender Town, Red managed to wake up the Pokemon conveniently sleeping in the middle of the path to Fuschia City. Then luckily managing to catch it!(it has very high defence and strength)
Snorlax is usually pretty laid back, but will become moody and angry if woken from a deep slumber!
Charizard- Originally met as a Charmander. He was the first Pokemon Red obtained from Professor Oak. Charizard is usually full of energy Depending who's side he's on, he can either be one of your favorite allies, or most feard opponents! But he has one of the closest relationships with Red.
Ivysaur- Originally met as a Bulbasaur. Red was given him by a daycare lady at Cerulean City for his strong love for his Pokemon! Ivysaur is very helpful and loving. He protects his friends and always gives it his all in battle!
Squirtle- Founded by a police officer at Vermillion City for playfully causing trouble, Red volenteered to keep Squirtle and try to set it right. He is extreamly energetic and playful like a child. Though a bit too wild at times and might cause trouble, Red always manages to keep him tamed.

this is cool and all, but i just have one problem:
YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SEE RED'S EYES DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SHADOW OF HIS AWESOME HAT BLOCKS THEM!!!!!1!!!

For the record, you see his eyes in the original games BEFORE he became champion~

But! But! Espeon was owned before Lapras! D:
This is still a badass picture.

Well, he has an Espeon in the manga.
But I think Lapras suits him more because it is 1st gen.

I honestly liked the stereotypical personality people give for him for Gold and Silver -- where he's just kind of broken. Non talkative, non emotional.
Say, what do you think of Gold himself?

I like to think of it as just being a trait of being a Nintendo character. I mean Mario, Link, Kirby, and Ness never say anything.
Gold, meh... Basically a Red wannabe I guess. But at least he's not a loser and actually DOES beat Red.

No, like, the fandom usually portray him as rather broken after 3 years of being champion. I like that. It's not the silent protagonist thing.
Well, Gold doesn't even get a line anywhere or any passing glance from Nintendo, so it's kinda hard to call him a wannabe.

But why is he broken? Can't he get over what happened in Lavender Town? Or is it just out of sheer boredom of standing on a mountain for 3 years?
BTW is his name Gold or Ethan? I see both in various sources.

Usually it's just fans making up stories, like fans do (Champion responsibility pressure, usually.) But yeah, standing in subzero air on a snow mountain with only summerwear for three years might have something to do with it. Maybe he short-circuited when he learned there were 500 more pokemon to catch.
His name is "Gold" in Gold/Silver/Crystal, officially.
GOLD, however, was offed by "ETHAN" for Heartgold and Soulsilver. Rival Silver is the same in both.

I think this might be the first Pokemon-based art I've seen from you.
Really cool.

Good job on the drawing. My team was under leveled when I battled him in HeartGold. But, I still managed to pull it off. I wish the later Pokemon games kept using that concept, where you would battle the protagonist from the previous generation.
