Description
My other Tutorials; My redlines (with detailed critique) can be found in my scraps!
Kind of a continuation of my tutorials; this time focusing on keeping your cats and dogs separate. I see too many artists drawing their cats like dogs and, more rarely though, their dogs like cats! Hopefully this will help you along the way to keeping them separated.
I was going to shove everything into one tutorial, but it started getting really long.. so it'll be 2 parts n__n;; Part 2 will be out soonish.
I am aware that many mistakes I point out in my tutorials, I also make! These tutorials help me learn as much as you!

I didn't know the no collar bone thing!! So does that mean the neck is shorter? Did you ever get around to making the legs/paws tutorial? I have so much trouble on paws!

I don't know about exact vertebrae but yes, a cat's neck is much shorter than a dogs! BUT they have a wider range of motion with their necks (how many dogs can turn their heads around enough to lick their shoulder blades?)
I never did, I just don't have the time for tutorials like I used to! I have a canine paw tutorial but nothing on felines I'm afraid. The key to a feline paw is that they're round and squishy! And, unlike dogs, all their toes are the same size c:

I'm attempting to draw a cat doing some kind of weird stalking-stretching pose and it is technically "correct" (as far as I know) based on anatomy, but doesn't look quite right. Would you mind being ever so kind as to give me a redline for it?

Despite living with cats all my life, I never knew they had no collarbone.
After reading that I proceeded to prod my kitty's shoulders.

Even though I own two cats, I always get cat anatomy wrong. xD Thanks so much for this~ It really helped, especially when in comparison with dog anatomy. C:

This tutorial looks helpful, though I don't really use them often xD I usually study my own anatomy

I guess so, I often see people writing credit for tutorials. Guess some folks find it easier that way

Glad you learned something then!
Yep, without a collarbone they can squeeze into tight places - any place their head can fit through c:
