Finally done with the first part of "GS Randomness"!
Taking place at Apollo Lens - right after the big revelation of Arcanus' true identity.
"GS Randomness" will be short and - like the title says - quite random and usually funny GS comics which are usually based of a certain situation in one of the games.
Any ideas for another part of "GS Randomness"? Let me know, I'll be glad about every idea!

Yes, I know.
That's what I actually think about the mask too. I mean, that he got hurt at Mt. Aleph.
But this was more about us, the ones playing it, not them. I mean, they couldn't recognize him, they've never seen him. But the mask, the new name and all this stuff just made me feel like Camelot was trying to make a big mystery out of who he is - in which they failed if it really was their intention, because everybody could tell it was him from the first moment he appeared.

Yeah, if Alex' identity was supposed to be a mystery, wow. New players won't know who he is anyway, and old players could tell from the moment his character art was revealed. It says something when you have to make up your own headcanons to make the story/plot twists seem less stupid.

I was a new player when I got DD. I didn't even know there were other games. So at first I wasn't thinking anything special about that guy in the mask. But as I found out there were more games, I checked them out, and I saw a picture of Alex in the first two games. And from that moment on I knew that Arcanus was Alex, although I couldn't do much with that information.

It was especially frustrating as an old-time player, to know this dude was Alex all along, but so what if I knew? No one ever wondered who Arcanus was, the guy didn't show up for 98% of the game, and when he DID show up I'd forgotten he even existed in the first place, and he just served as a reminder to "oh yeah, there's probably supposed to be a PLOT TWIST where they figure out his identity or something... wait, that's it?" Heck, it wasn't even like his identity was important at all. He could've told everyone he was Alex and no one would have cared, because what difference does it make? Zero.

That really annoyed me somehow. If they already make such a mistery of his identity, then it at least should have something relevant to do with the plot. I mean, they did find out in the end. But it didn't change anything. Everything that happened was that Jass was kinda mad because he lied to them. But only for one second, then nobody cared, and everything went on the way it would've done no matter if he's Arcanus or Alex or whoever. It just didn't matter at all.

That's sort of why I stuck to my "he's not trying to hide his identity, hes just... being considerate towards people with upset tummies" theory. But even then he goes all smugface towards Kraden for not knowing who he is, it's like he's just trolling Kraden because he can or something.
Now, in a different context, this would've worked just fine and could've given him some nice characterization. But it doesn't work in-game, because his identity is presented as being a Big Deal when it really isn't. It's a dangerous trick to tell the player one thing, then proceed to ignore it - it's called lazy storytelling, and trying to cover it up with a "uh, lol you guys, his identity WASN'T a big deal! Aren't we being fresh? Everyone else makes the identity out to be this big PLOT TWIST, while we're not making a big deal out of it at all!"

Well, I still think that it was Camelot thinking they could hide his identity and make an "awesome" plot twist out of it, but the background of the mask in the actual game probably were injuries from Mt. Aleph. So, I think Alex didn't intend to hide his identity this much, I mean, it really doesn't make any difference, but Camelot thought it would be a good idea for an awesome mystery.

I think that's how it went down, too. I just wish we could've gotten a single line or something about either Alex saying something about his mask, or someone in the party thinking why he would wear it.

They just succesfully ignored the mask in the end. They talked about it when they first met him, but actually only because they didn't know his name and could call him masked man. They never actually wondered why he was wearing that thing.

Actually I did instantly realise that the voice was very very familiar (which I heard before I looked at him). I couldn't get a good look at his face since then until about the time at the Apollo Lens.
(OOC : Actually I instantly recognized that it was Alex despite it being the silhouetted avatar (the first time Alex/Arcanus speaks in DD, his text box doesn't has a silhouette instead of the actual face like everyone else does))

Being an academic, I know the importance of not making claims without firm evidence. The voice was uncannily familiar, yet I hadn't had a good look at his face until we met at Apollo Lens. He could have been his twin brother for all I knew! But then I analyzed all the events that occurred thereafter and could see the connections. Only then did I arrive at the logical conclusion.

But Tret said that Amiti was a relative of Mia, his mother can't be related with Mia, and the only male person from the clan being old enough is Alex.

*reads and starts laughing so hard* No, no, no, Amiti definitely is a boy, although he might look a bit girly xD I mean, he also looks to be not more than 15, but the truth is he's 19 - and a boy, believe me.
And yes, Alex is his father. But inside the game, nobody knows. I'm not even sure if Alex knows it himself. It was clear that Amiti's father was one of the main characters from the first two games, so the possibilities were Piers or Alex. And then Tret said he'd be related to Mia somehow - which means Alex is his father, since Piers isn't related to any of them, but Alex is Mia's cousin.

Yeah, I know, I'm from germany, but I belief the make mistakes, like with Prox, a fatale translation error. The correct translation is Phlox(latin: Flame).
The funny thing is, in germany and japan Mia and Alex are brother and sister.^^'

Eine Facharbeit schreibst du 3 Monate lang in der gymnasialen Oberstufe, sie muss eine wissenschaftliche Grundbedingung erfüllen und einen Umfang von 10-30 Seiten umfassen. Ich hab mich bei meiner auf den chemischen Bereicht konzentriert.
Aber auch Basiswissen zusammengetragen.[link] Das kennst du doch noch, oder? Die schrift ist aus dem Buch in den Konpa Ruinen.^_^ Griechisch.
Und Adepten ist eig das korrekte Wort für: Personen die mindestens ein alchemistischen Experiment durchgeführt haben.

Du musst das Fach allerdings haben und schriftlich gewählt haben. Ich hätte sonst Erdkunde empfohlen, kannst du die Umsetztung der Kateograohie analysieren. Oder Kunst.
Kannst auch Deutsch machen und die Story analysieren.

Du musst bis zum ende des 1. Halbjahres der Klasse 12 Deutsch eh schriftlich behalten, kannst nur GK oder LK wählen...
Genau wie Mathe und Englisch, manchmal auch die Fremdsprachen...

GK= GrundKurs: Kurse, die du nicht unbedingt schriftlich haben musst, aber machen musst, wie Sport, Musik/Kunst, Reli/Philo, Geschichte oder Chemie.
LK= LeistungsKurs: Kurse, die du schriftlich haben MUSST und die deine ertsen beiden Abiturfächer darstellen, haben eine erhöhte Stundenzahl, Klausurdauer und größeren Lernstoffumfang.
Die werden IMMER ins Abi einbezogen, außerdem musst du 2 Naturwissenschaften oder 2 Fremdschprachen und min. je ein Jahr Politik und Geschichte ins Abi einbringen.

Das macht mir nichts ^^ Aber Geschichte... Früher fand ichs toll. Aber seit ca. der französischen Revolution ist es einfach nur noch sterbenslangweilig. Und da gibt es so viele Daten, ich kann mir Daten nich gut merken. Aber Politik ist noch schlimmer. Vielleicht weil wir ständig über die Nachrichten reden und meine Ohren automatisch zu sind sobald ich das wort griechenland höre. Aber Politik kann ich sowasvon gar nich ab.

Das wird es um Wirtschaftspolitik, UNOpolitik, Terrorismus und ähnliches gehen, also viel theoretischer, glaube dann eher was, wenn du nicht den Kraschkurs willst, der genau so weiter läuft, wie du es hattest.
Geschichte wird mehr auf den Fluss der Ereignisse geachte, Ursache Wirkungsgefüge, also auch anders als du es kennst.
Kurz: Es wird alles anders und theoretischer.

Guck es dir am besten einfach mal an, du kannst in den ersten beiden Jahren noch gut umwählen, aber lass dich am besten von einem Lehrer beraten, oder frag mal, ob du in bestimmten Fächern gucken darfst.
Du kannst auch in 1 Fach 'Hospitieren' das heißt still beim mündlichen Abitur zusehen.^-^
Musst nur fragen, ob es bei euch angeboten wird.
