Description
Fox and Krystal get to know the newly recruited Miyu off duty.This is another Star Fox digital painting I decided to do. The series could benefit by getting more in depth in character development and conversation.
I wonder what they are talking about…

Your colours are exceptional. There's a rich gradient and texture on the fur, as well as atmospheric lighting in the way the background fades into a blue haze. Unfortunately, the drawing itself is pretty poor. Fox's proportions are way off, making his pose look rather awkward, and Krystal's head is absolutely tiny! Pay closer attention to how they look in official artwork.

It began. Slow at first. Then faster, and more hands joined in. One by one the seats became empty as the unsuspecting spectators were blown away. In unison, the crowd let out a roar of cheers that could be heard for untold miles. The picture was so awesome nobody knew what to do. Some cried, some cheered, some updated their facebooks, and still others began... masturbating?! Who cares? It was just that spectacular.

I have to agree. We could use a bit more character development. Sadly, this seems to be the one game series that Nintendo just doesn't care about anymore.

Well, that could be due to the lack of financial gains in the market which could have led to the lesser support in development compared to the bigger franchises such as Zelda or Mario.
Miyamoto, the CEO of Nintendo I believe still holds on to Star Fox hoping it would get the attention it deserves in the future.

I hope so. But I also hope he doesn't repeat the fiasco with Adventures again. From what I hear, that's one of the main reasons Rare doesn't work with Nintendo anymore.

In truth, SF: Adventures was their very last Gamecube Game. Even though Rare had been sold from Nintento to Microsoft, they still retain a very small (if not nonexistent) connection to Nintendo in terms of handheld support.
Still, I would like to see Rare side by side with Nintendo again.

I honestly don't care if they pair with Nintendo again or not. So long as both companies make good games, I'm all in favor of 'em continuing to do business.

The SF universe could use more love, preferably in the hands of CAPABLE people (i.e., not Rare). The last few SF games have been an embarrassment, both due to absolutely terrible voice acting and a paper-thin story.
I know the SF64 story wasn't exactly DEEP, but it was definitely enjoyable. And it made sense. Voice acting was wonderful too. Now we have some...jock TRYING to be Falco, Slippy sounds MORE annoying, Fox just doesn't sound anything like Fox at all, and Peppy...well, I couldn't stop laughing. Krystal is a laugh as well, she's ridiculous to me. The whole 'psychic powers' BS just utterly ruins the whole thing for me. I liked it so much more when Starfox were an elite fighter squadron who relied on their wits and their Arwings.
Still, there may be hope. Far away as it is.
Now that I'm done on THAT train of thought, I absolutely adore this picture. Fox's face is amusing, I KNOW he's getting embarrassed by something while Krystal looks on amused.
The way you portray Miyu (i.e. not psychic, no superpowers like that, just a regular down-to-earth girl who actually has faults and benefits) is brilliant. That's the sort of thing developers need if they intend to make another SF game.
The uniforms are also nice, they fit the theme nicely. Not full-uniform, just relaxation you'd expect from being off-duty.
Miyu's body language is another fun point: the way she's posed, there's definitely SOMETHING she's saying that is making Fox uncomfortable, and she is very well aware of it.
The attention to the background isn't something I get to see often. But then I don't browse this site much. XD But seriously, even the background screams "Yes, this is Starfox." It's wonderful.
And, naturally, the Wiimote shoved into the toolbox is a nice nod, and a cute little easter egg.
This deserves a fave, easily. Now if only developers would pour this kind of attention into our series.

I understand that people feel that the developers don't seem to give a lot of love to the Star Fox franchise as of most recent. However, as you said, there may be hope in the future. I try my best to portray the fan art in a respectable manner.

In my fan fic, she is a tough hard skinned woman, just like Karen Joshua. She takes pride in her physical strength and knowledge in mixed martial arts. If placed along with the other ladies in Star Fox, she would be the tallest and the most imposing. Initially, she commands her own elite two-man recon team with Fay as her only squad mate. I suppose Fox found her skills to be useful.

I interpret Miyu and Fay as sisters due to extended time partnered in their career.
