Description
Fox and Krystal get to know the newly recruited Miyu off duty.This is another Star Fox digital painting I decided to do. The series could benefit by getting more in depth in character development and conversation.
I wonder what they are talking about…

Although there is virtually no story behind Miyu, she is beloved by many Star Fox fans who know her.

This just makes me miss Falco's girlfriend, Kat, from the older games. T_T Why did they have to get rid of her, and then bring her back and rape her character? Why? She was badass is Starfox 64.

I suppose it was bad decisions with Nintendo and being handled by different partner companies to miss the ball with Ms. Kat Monroe. Unfortunately, Namco didn't want to include her and Q-Games chose their look for Kat (which I think is dumb).

Practice, practice, practice. That's the only way I know. I study some subjects and do a little research as I develop my images.
Oh and the right music helps too!

Do you make those on paper, then scan and modify in some software, or just by PC/Mac?

Normally I sketch out ideas on paper then start painting on the computer. For this one I just went straight to painting.
Miyu does have a short tail. There was a reply that mentioned that and then I said 'Doh!' The next time, I will render her with a short tail.

Pretty cool, I love Miyu's oufit, and the way you drew her, Fox, and Krystal.
The background is very well done, and the light effects, and stuff are impressive to me, especially with the light shining behind the ship in the hanger. You really put alot of detail into the background.
I love the li'l Wii remote controller you put in the background, and the Starman icon on Miyu's soda/energy drink can.

The only criticism I have for you is Miyu. Miyu is a lynx,and lynxes don't have long tails,they have ahort stubby ones[link]

How long will it take you to 'draw' like me? Is that what you meant? If so, then it will most likely depend on you willingness to expand your drawing practices. I've seen people who haven't drawn much before study from life and other artists, and become even better than me in no time flat. So there isn't really a set time, it's really up to you to practice!

Well you don't see many pics like this. Firstly this is a high quality piece of work. The amount of detail is stunning from Krystals armour to the tools in the box. I agree that a bit of character development is needed. So far it seems only Fox has had the most development and thats pretty stunted as it is. The emotion is beieveable and intriguing. As for what they are talking about well heres my thoughts. Fox and Miyu probably had some puppy love going back in the flight acadamy but Fox has since moved on with Krystal but Miyu remembers and wants something more and maybe she wants to go steady so shes dropping subtle hints about the time they spent together in the academy but adding in the odd innuendo. Fox remebers what shes talking about and seems to be abit uncomfortable not with the past but the way it's being discussed. Krystals in the background and she knows something is going on but she can't tell what. Also I like the easter eggs you put in. The Wii mote in the tool box and the star man on the drink can. I'm not sure but that black cartridge by the tool box looks like an old nes cart. I would like to see more pics like this in the future as you have really caught Starfox at it;s finest. A fave from me.

Thats good to hear. Not many people with your skill show SF as they are meant to be. still would be good to see one of Fay and might we see Fara in the future?

I'm finishing the one with Fay in it and so far it looks nice. It just needs some tweaking and refinement and I'll post that one fairly soon.
As for Fara, you'll probably see an image posted eventually. I may need to figure out how to best reinterpret her character as Fox and Krystal are established, by canon, as a couple. Will she be an entirely different character? Or will she be after Fox's heart as she was in the past? The former would be a setup for a very messy love-hate triangle I'm sure.

Looks like Miyu is telling Krystal some embarrassing stories about Fox from the "Old Days", and Fox is not quite so sure he wanted Krystal to know those stories.
