Over here, in the UK, Mario Party 8 was recalled due to a "technical error". It was, in fact, that in the game's dialogue an insulting word was present. Although the word in the USA, or anywhere else I think, isn't an insult. On the train level, when you go on a ? space, a magikoopa will appear and move the carriages around and he "Magikoopa magic! Turn the train spastic! Make this ticket tragic!". Now, the word "spastic" (or "spasticated" or the slang, "spaz") over here basically means retarded. So he essentially said "make the train retarded". In the "fixed" version it was replaced with "erratic".I loved drawing the expressions. Most are just manga-style, but I have to credit Scott Dewitt 's awesome drawing style for Mario's expression, as I kinda stole it.

lol when i was playing on this my mum came in at this moment and shouted up the stairs "Paul (my dad) who did you get this game off? is one of you friends giving us dodgey copies, it seems rarther inaproriate!"

Well it's not really an inside joke, per se. I explained the joke in the description anyway, but I guess you would need to be in the UK/have known about the recall to get it. But ah well, like I said before, at least it was good practice. =]
