This drawing was made for polish magazine "Brohoof"

"Brohoof" made a 2014 calendar with arts of various artists, and to my surprise... I was asked to fill one of the pages
And I don't mean it like: "Oh my God, why did they asked me? My art is sh*t, and all..." , no, no, no It wasn't like that, my surprise came from the fact, that I am mainly a traditional artist... and let's be honest here - pencils doesn't really suit things like posters, t-shirts, and calendars like these, especially where all other arts will be digital, it can stand out and look... weird So asking me for art was kinda gamble on their part

And that's why I'm uploading this so late, and some of You already saw it, but only on my .stash - it was after all project exclusive for the calendar, but Bobule ("Brohoof" chief editor) said it is fine for me to upload this picture in new year, after they stopped printing orders for it.

I choose July and I have absolutely no idea, why I decided to drew Cadence of all ponies I have a lot of freedom making this one, however there were two principal rules:
1 - The piece had to reflect a season/month climate
2 - Bottom part can't have important details, since there will be covered by a table with days
So as You can guess doing something like that was different and interesting experience for me

As for the picture itself - there is not much to say. I actually like how it turned out ^_^ Really.
Cadence looks decent enough, and I really like her hairs... drawing the drink was a lot of fun for me... and the background was the easiest one I made Seriously, it took me like... 10-15 minutes. Just scatter dust from hard pastels all over the paper, rub it a little with a tissue, and add some shadows with pencils here, and there
Also scootie-wootie was my consultant on this one and she helped a lot with matching the colors. Thank You Scootie!
