CC-1004, Clone Commander Gree of the 41st Elite Corps, under the command of Jedi General Luminara Unduli, and later Jedi General Barriss Offee. Husband of Clone Lieutenant Greta.

CC-1004 was a clone of the Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett, born and trained on the rainy planet Kamino. CC-1004 had shown an interest in the different life forms throughout the Galaxy, and at some point in his training, shaved his hair to two strips of which he dyed red, and took on the name Gree, from a six tentacled species. Gree eventually completed his training and was assigned command of the 41st Elite Corps under the Mirialan Jedi Master and General, Luminara Unduli, and her Padawan, who served as a Jedi Commander, Barriss Offee. Gree took to his new Jedi general well, had great respect for her, and even treated Barriss as a little sister.

Gree would fight in many campaigns alongside Unduli, following her orders to the letter. One mission he had with her, was aiding in the capture of Viceroy Rune Haako of the Trade Federation and escorting him to Coruscant. Gree has noted that Ahsoka Tano, the Togrutan Jedi apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, was also participating in this mission, and welcomed her warmly. As Gree and his companions were making their way to the Venator Attack Cruiser Tranquility onboard a Consular corvette, Haako was trying to bribe Gree to let him go free, but he refused to take it, putting him in cuffs instead. Upon boarding the Tranquility, Gree handed Haako over to some Senate Commandos that were onboard the ship, under the command of Senate Commando Captain Faro Argyus.

As Luminara tried to interrogate Haako, the Tranquility was boarded by super battle droids, and unknown initially the Sith Acolyte Asajj Ventress, prompting Gree to deploy Green Company. As Gree and Luminara went to fight back against the droids, Ventress made her way to the ship’s brig area where she engaged Ahsoka. Gree then made his way back to the brig when Luminara sensed that Ahsoka was in trouble, and was barely lucky to survive Ventress as she made her escape after Luminara got involved. Afterward, Gree was ordered to remain in the brig to guard the Viceroy with Argyus, the remaining two Senate Commandos, and Ahsoka, who Luminara ordered to remain behind, while she went to engage the assassin.

While Gree was staying in the brig, he watched and listened as Ahsoka complained of how skilled Ventress was, and that Luminara was making a mistake going after her alone. When Ahsoka pondered on whether or not to abandon her post, Gree advised her not to do so, but was overruled by Argyus, and watched as Ahsoka ran off to aid Luminara. Moments later, Gree was caught off guard, when Argyus turned and killed the two other remaining Senate Commandos, and then freed Viceroy Haako, trying to escape with the Neimoidian. Gree fought with Argyus, managing to beat the traitorous commando, but as he was about arrest Argyus, Gree was hit from behind by Haako, getting knocked out, and allowing the two Separatist agents to escape.

Gree would then participate in the Second Battle of Geonosis, where the 41st Elite Corps would team up with the 101st and 501st Legions, fight to destroy the main droid factory, and capture Archduke Poggle the Lesser. As Gree participated in the war briefing, Luminara had discussed how Barriss had remembered the Geonosian catacombs, beneath the factory. As Barriss, Zayla, and Ahsoka traveled through the catacombs, Gree and his brothers, along with Jedi Generals Luminara Unduli, Rhydon Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker as they marched towards the factory, drawing out the droids. while the battle was progressing well in the beginning, it soon turned against them when Poggle unleashed the new Super Tanks, forcing Gree and his fellow clones to retreat, while the Jedi laid explosives underneath the bridge that the tanks were hovering over. After the tanks were destroyed, Gree would then watch as the factory blew up, coming down in a massive dust cloud, as Gree quickly ordered everyone to get down and into cover.

At one point in the War, Gree and the 41st Elite Corps were briefly stationed on Coruscant, when a bomb went off in one of the hangars of the Jedi Temple. Shocked that someone had attempted to bomb a sacred place such as the Jedi Temple, Gree would find himself angered when Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee were falsely accused of being involved with the bombings. When Ahsoka and Barriss were captured, Gree not only stood by and defended Barriss, but also Ahsoka, as he believed that neither one of them would be involved in the bombing of the Jedi Temple, and was pleased when the Jedi Council stood by them. When the true bomber was discovered, a Jedi Padawan who had become disillusioned with the Jedi Order and tried to pin the crime on two of the Order’s promising and rising Padawans; this prompted Gree to punch the young individual after he had been stripped of his place in the Order, as payback for his attempt to frame Barriss, while Clone Captain Rex of the 501st did the same thing for Ahsoka.

As the Clone Wars continued, Gree and Luminara Unduli would go on to participate in the Battle of Kashyyyk, where Gree utilized a special camouflage armor, alongside the 12th Legion of Qui-Gon Jinn, the 82nd Attack Battalion of Katelyn Kenobi, and Jedi Grandmaster Yoda. While Luminara fought on the beaches of Kachirho alongside Qui-Gon and Katelyn, Gree chose to observe the battle with Yoda, as a gesture of respect towards and also to protect the Jedi Grandmaster. With Gree and Yoda on the command post platform overviewing the beach battle, was Wookie chieftain Tarfful, and another Wookie named Chewbacca. Gree often watched the battle progress, reported what he saw to Yoda, and managed to grab a rocket launcher to shoot down a droid gunship that had nearly killed the Grandmaster. At one point in the battle, a 41st scout trooper had come into the command post to deliver a report to Gree, when a transmission from the office of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was coming in; choosing to take the message alone, Gree ordered the scout trooper to stay with Master Yoda, Tarfful, and Chewbacca, while he took the message.

When Gree exited the command post, he opened the transmission, and received Order 66 from Palpatine, knowing that the Order labeled all Jedi as traitors to the Galactic Republic, including Yoda, Luminara, and Barriss. Being the type of clone that followed orders, Gree found himself feeling conflicted about Order 66; he remembered all the battles that he, Luminara, and Barriss fought in together, and knew in his heart that neither Jedi would betray the Republic. Deciding to do whatever it took to protect the Jedi, Gree acknowledged the order, but when he turned around, he saw the scout trooper he left with Yoda preparing to kill the Jedi Grandmaster. Moving quickly, Gree managed to shoot his DC-15 blaster carbine at the scout trooper in the back of his shoulder, while Yoda jumped up and sliced off his head with his lightsaber. Knowing that Yoda would be suspicious, Gree immediately dropped his blaster onto the ground, and put his hands up, knowing that the Grandmaster would give him a chance to explain what was happening, which was exactly what Yoda did; Gree explained how he was being contacted by Palpatine, to receiving Order 66 and how it condemned Jedi as traitors, and him choosing to disobey the Order and save Yoda’s life.

Gree knew that Yoda was satisfied with his answer when the green lightsaber was deactivated, and the green blade receded into the hilt, which allowed the green and camouflage armored commander to pick up his DC-15 carbine. Gree then took a guard position alongside Chewbacca, while Yoda pulled out a communicator, and sent a message to someone, while Gree also tried to contact General Unduli and any other Jedi loyal members of the 41st Elite Corps. Gree was able to make contact with his second and third in commands, Clone Major Buzz, and Clone Captain Draa respectively, and was glad to learn that the two clones had also chosen to disobey Order 66. Unfortunately, they were unable to replicate Gree’s ability to save their Jedi General, and witnessed Luminara Unduli being overwhelmed by a squad of scout troopers, and were left no choice but to assume that she was killed. Gree was saddened by the news of Luminara’s assumed death, but he became resolved to protect Yoda, who had successfully warned Jedi Generals Qui-Gon Jinn and Katelyn Kenobi; the latter having to deal with the 66th Regiment.

As Yoda proceeded to give orders to the other two Jedi, Gree noted that several clones were approaching their position, and hoped that they were loyal clones. Sadly for Gree, the clones that were coming towards them were imperialist clones, intent on following Order 66. Having no intention of letting Yoda suffer the same fate as Luminara, Gree began shooting down the traitorous clones, with Chewbacca and Tarfful helping him keep the imperialist clones away. However, fortune would smile on the clone commander, Jedi Grandmaster, and two Wookies when two squads of 41st clones led by Buzz and Draa respectively, arrived and shot down the imperialist clones. After being reinforced by his two trusted brothers, Gree helped Yoda get up onto Chewbacca's shoulders, while Tarfful and Gree led the way to find a safe place, meeting up with other Jedi loyal clones, and shooting down imperialist clones.

Eventually, gunships and shuttles arrived, and to Gree’s surprise, female clone troopers came out and began shooting at the imperialist clones, allowing the Jedi and loyalist clones to get aboard the gunships and shuttles. As he boarded one of the gunships, Gree noticed that the Wookies were staying behind, covering the retreat of the Jedi and loyalist clones. Gree vowed that he would do whatever it took to help the Wookies, as the gunship doors closed, leaving one last glimpse of Chewbacca and Tarfful using their unique Wookie blasters to shoot down the remaining imperialist clones.

As the gunship flew off, a female clone trooper introduced herself as Captain Greta, and Gree took an interest in her. As the 41st Elite Corps traveled into exile to the secret planet of Ossus, Gree and his men were reunited with Barriss Offee, and recognized her as the true Jedi leader of the 41st, especially since she was not a Jedi Knight. In light of the supposed death of Luminara, Barriss took over as Jedi General of the 41st Elite Corps and saw to it that the new female clones were integrated into the 41st, one of them being Captain Greta. Gree would make Greta one of his top officers, and as they worked together, the two would eventually come to fall in love with each other and married, which made having children easy.

As the Jedi and loyalist clones engaged in a secret war against the Galactic Empire, Gree, Barriss, and the 41st Elite Corps would soon learn that Luminara was not actually killed on Kashyyyk, but was instead captured and imprisoned in the Spire; a high-level prison under Imperial control. Gree and Barriss immediately petitioned for a rescue mission and agreed to work alongside the 101st Legion to rescue Luminara. While the infiltration was successful, Gree, Barriss, and his brothers who fought in the Clone Wars were disappointed to find out that Luminara was dead, and her body was merely being used as bait to lure any surviving Jedi into a trap; a trap that they weren’t going to allow to continue, as the Amidalan forces left the Spire, with Luminara’s body. Upon returning to Ossus, Gree stood front and center, as he paid his respects to Luminara during her funeral, and burial, as a hero to the Galaxy.

Gree would continue to serve as the commander of the 41st Elite Corps under Barriss’ leadership. As the Amidala Empire allied with the Rebel Alliance, and the Empire’s Death Star I battle station was destroyed at the Battle of Yavin VI, Gree would begin making plans to free the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk and fulfill his promise to help the Wookies. With Barriss’ support and the approval of the Jedi Council and Empress Padme Skywalker, the 41st Elite Corps launched an attack on the Imperial forces that were stationed on Kashyyyk. Gree gladly led the charge to free the Wookies, as the 41st troopers charged on the Imperial fortresses, and in the end bringing freedom to Kashyyyk, as well as earning the gratitude and support of the Wookies for the Amidala Empire.

Gree would be involved in the Battle of Endor and would don a set of armor similar to what he wore on Kashyyyk at the end of the Clone Wars. Gree fought through the battle by Barriss’ side, determined to keep his general from meeting a similar fate at Luminara, while leading an elite team of 41st Rangers against the imperial stormtroopers. When the Death Star Ii blew up, Gree would cheer with his family, as he recognized the end of the Galactic Empire, and the potential rise of the benevolent, and freedom ensuring Amidala Empire.
