Special thanks to Mark (arum1966) on this one. He helped me get the colors, in the photo, close to the original painting. Harder than you would think on this one.

Thank you. I was, and still am, an oil painter for many, many years. I always try to force acrylics to do what oils can. In someways, acrylics are more relaxing to work with. In others, more frustrating. Glad you liked Octoplex.

Stunning piece. Understated due to the colour and tones, keeping it simple but at the same time very hypnotic. Every time I look at it I'm reminded somewhat of the body of Eddie - of Iron Maiden fame.

I assume you were the one that suggested it , i can't see the "amazing use of black & white" , and the adjectives that were used are cheesy ( majestic & hypnotic & lovably ) and their place isn't in a piece were there are skulls ( macabre ) and deformed anatomy ( surrealism ).
