HistoryDuring the 50s, the North Shore company was modernizing it fleet of engines by removing it out of date steam engines and replacing them with new DMUS and EMUS thanks to the parent company so the new electrics were built by the Vulcan works in England and Caldwell works who built only 40 members while the rest came from England and were control most of the line while the DMU roamed the rest of the network till the 1980s were the all of it was electrified but the old units were withdrawn and scrapped due to newer electrics.
