Love the heavy shadows! Gives the whole ensemble a very dramatic feel.

For inking this or in general? I usually use a Pentel pocket brush pen with refillable cartridges. For this piece I only used tech pens

Shading is a very tough thing to grasp, its always been hard from me. You really have to study light source, and form of the object the light is falling on. Then usually texture plays into how the light falls on the object.
I suggest finding artists who you think have incredible shading skills and just taking mental notes. Also the best way to learn is to study from life. The more you do that the more likely you are to get realistic lighting across

Dear lord! You are an inking god! This looks CGed, and that's reeeeeaaaaally hard to pull off. I think this is wonderful. You should do more WIP processes or aven a tutorial on how you go from black paper to this. I really am curious.

Very nice. I think the slightly differing proportions really help sell it. Is there a reason the heavy guy is the only one whose weapons disappear out of the frame? It kinda draws attention to his feet being cut off.

gorgeous contrast right there!
but i guess ouy overdid it with the knight guy. he lost much definition of his shapes. someone cant determins if its a casted shadow or just a black piece of armor

These are for a Players Guide for an RPG in the works. Theyre examples of different armor types, Heavy, Medium and Small.
