Description
***FULL VIEW FOR FULL AWESOME!***This is one of my personal favorite pieces and I also believe it's one of my best to date. And it's another one heavily influenced by Toppi as well as Konrad Dielitz
The runes on the stone read:
Here this way the wind does blow
Over those who've fallen
The lord of death walks this path
All Father, come reap
It also has some history! Last year at SDCC 2009 I lost my portfolio which included the original version of this commission. Remember this guy? [link] Eternal gratitude goes to ~callacurt for waiting over a YEAR for me to finish this badboy. I hope the wait was worth it. I decided to turn his $80 commission into a $200 one. If theres anyway to get a good commission out of me its to request something Norse related

Noxious,
Best Norse related commission I've had the pleasure to acquire. As outstanding as the first, lost piece, this one is a step above. All the symbols of what was Odin are represented spectacularly. When it showed up at my door step, I was floored. Didn't even have time to change out of the work clothes and it was well worth the wait.
To anyone reading this, Noxious1 is a man of his word and will not disappoint. I've been taken on commissions in the past, but with Noxious1 I was not worried at all. He's is definitely an upstanding individual and strives for perfection.
Thanks Noxious, I hope to collaborate in the future.

Nice nice. This Viking-ancestor is impressed Especially with the runes. Is it English using runic alphabet or actual norse?

Thanks!
Its English with an (feeble) attempt at Old Furthak. The English is simplified though to the basic pronunciations of the words like Deth, and ov. Easier to translate than using each individual letter and is slightly more accurate to the Norse pronunciation and spelling.
Glad you're diggin it!

Hehe, I would probably have been able to read it in third or fourth grade, but I've forgotten the alphabet to a large extent. It's interesting how many words come from Norse in the English language.

Yeah only six legs. I wanted to put eight but the pose made it very difficult so I sacrificed two for the composition For shame on me, I know! haha But at least in some versions he actually has six
Thanks!

Thank you
It definitely took a lot longer to ink than it did to pencil

In some versions he has eight legs, which is what I prefer but the composition didnt make that too easy so I decided to go with the six legged version. It's actually pretty cool that I had an option haha
