Description
Universally hated by just about everyone, Batman and Robin effectively killed the comic movie for a few years. However, after the success of the X-men and Spider-man films, WB decided to give Batman another shot, rebooting the franchise from scratch. Hiring director Christopher Nolan proved to be a very wise choice, as his more realistic version of Batman seemed to be just the things fans were hungry for. Batman Begins was a solid hit, earning critical praise as well. But the strongest Batman film yet was just around the corner...Related content

I do like the movie. But as a fan of the Scarecrow, I must say. Cillian Murphy was horrible as the Scarecrow. He got personality wrong, looks wrong and costume wrong. I KNOW, it's supposed to be "realistic", but Nolan Crane has nothing Scarecrow with it. You can put a bag on your head and say that you're the Scarecrow, you just can't.
I mean, The Scarecrow is supposed to be really tall and skinny, a bit sociopathic, even as Dr. Crane (More than what Cillian did, he looked as he was about to cry basically everey scene). The Scarecrow is also supposed to wear a brown, no matter what style, he isn't Scarecrow without a hat. Sure the hooded ones from the Batman: Arkham game series are cool, but they aren't really the Scarecrow. No. Look at the Animated Series, Blackest Night, Fright of the Scarecrow, Return Of The Scarecrow, Batman: Scarecrow Year One, Where stalks the Scarecrow etc etc I could go on. All the good classic Scarecrows. They were the actual Scarecrows. I do like the costume that he has after being at... Blackgate(?) in the Nolan film, but the mask is horrible and they could have given him a hat, at least....

I don't know man. Batman Begins was my favorite. Sure the Joker was amazing, but as a whole Batman begins felt like it knew exactly what it was doing. I know it's not a popular opinion but, the Dark Knight felt long winded. Needless to say it is still an incredible movie.
